Welcome Nina Kikel and Michelle Wang to the Smith lab. Both are graduate students in Biological Sciences. Follow Nina and Michelle as they investigate glial and neuronal biology.
The Indiana State Department of Health and the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI) has awarded Cody J. Smith, a Spinal Cord and Brain Injury Research Fund (SCBIRF) grant.
Congrats to Robert Gallant, Sam Ufuah and Evan Nichols, all undergraduate scientists, on receiving funding for this summer to continue their training.
Cody investigated the assembly of the dorsal root entry zone and identified a signaling molecule required for glial/neuronal communication.
Every year the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation selects 126 promising early-career scholars from the fields of science, engineering, technology, mathematics, and economics, as recipients of the Sloan Research Fellowship.
